Our Classes

Power Yoga

A powerful, dynamic yoga flow designed to challenge intermediate to advanced yogis, but also be somewhat accessible to beginners. We will not practice impossible poses, but rather use basic/intermediate poses in a way that allows the practitioner to feel challenged and tap into their intrinsic strength. We will build our physical practice around our breath — slowly and intentionally.

This class typically includes a slower portion in the beginning, focused more on alignment... and then a slightly faster breath-to-movement flow as well. We work on developing our STABILITY as well as MOBILITY at the same time. Come prepared for strengthening, stretching, and balancing.

Slow Flow + Restore

Our Slow Flow + Restore class encourages physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. The approach is gentle, supportive, and therapeutic which is intended to activate the parasympathetic nervous system so that the body may rest, heal, and restore balance. Appropriate for all levels, this offering is practiced at a slow pace, focusing on long holds, stillness, and deep breathing, while releasing tension in your body.

In the Restore portion, poses are typically held for 3-5 minutes and are supported by props like bolsters, blankets and blocks.

Restore + Sound Healing

This unique fusion of restorative yoga and sound healing offers a soothing and meditative journey to support deep physical and emotional healing. In addition to a relaxing restorative yoga practice there will be an extended savasana with a sound bath. Sounds will be created with the use of crystal bowls, chimes, percussions, tuning forks and other instruments.  Sound healing operates on the principle that everything in the universe, including our bodies, is in a state of vibration. When these vibrations are in harmony, we experience good health and well-being. However, physical or emotional stressors can disrupt this harmony, leading to illness or discomfort. Sound healing seeks to restore balance by introducing specific sound frequencies that resonate with our bodies, helping them return to a state of equilibrium. Research has shown that exposure to healing sounds can reduce blood pressure, alleviate pain, and promote the release of endorphins. Sound vibrations can also improve circulation and oxygenate cells, which enhances overall health and healing.

Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra

A 60-minute Yin Yoga practice followed by a 30-minute Yoga Nidra practice. Yin Yoga is a slow, deep yoga where poses are held from 3-10 minutes each. It is typically done in a dark room with poses on the floor and with many props. Yin postures target connective tissue and are powerful in adding flexibility and softness to the body, providing an opportunity to sit in stillness, silence, and reflection. Yoga Nidra is similar to a guided meditation. Lying in savasana, you simply listen to the instructor's voice as you are guided with powerful imagery through the layers of self and into a place of deep relaxation and self-healing.

Yoga For Stiffer Bodies

This 60-minute class is the perfect way to be gently active and accommodates all levels of flexibility. It offers a moving but slower pace with more explanation and direction in each pose. It’s perfect for someone who either loves a slower paced class or desires more instruction and guidance in poses. This class will feature a generous warm-up, standing poses, balance poses, gentle core work, gentle hamstring, back, and hip openers, a solid cool-down, and savasana. You’ll leave feeling energized, centered, and grounded.

This class is perfect for people who don't necessarily feel strong or flexible, or have injuries or other conditions they're working with.

Mindfulness

Learn different meditation techniques that guide your mind into a space of presence. You will explore a specific technique each week that gives your mind a focal point, often leading to a shift in your energy. The practices could include pranayama (breath techniques), mantra (chanting), visualization, or calming and focusing prompts. Come practice presence and learn to befriend your mind.
