Denise Druce
Since donning a pair of leg warmers in 1981, Denise Druce, MPH, C-IAYT, has been inspiring people to live healthier, happier lives. Her more than 4 decades in the fitness industry have included teaching aerobics, group resistance training, indoor cycling, and for the past 25 years, yoga. Denise directs the Yoga Assets Yoga Teacher Training Programs, and has trained more than 1,200 amazing yoga teachers. She was recently honored with the IDEA World Inspiration Award in recognition of her 40 years in fitness. Her work teaching yoga and YTT programs in the Utah State Prison led her to form a non-profit Yoga Forward with a mission to “take yoga where it isn’t”. As a stage four cancer ‘Thriver’ Denise finds yoga and mindfulness practices to be her most potent medicines.
