RACHEL KOONTZ
Rachel never quite felt like she fit into this world growing up and has struggled with depression and anxiety her entire life. Through yoga and physical activity she realized that the power in her body and breath is her greatest tool for overcoming feelings of despair and inadequacy. This connection between the breath and body has taught her to trust in herself and to have faith that she will have strength to persist in the unfolding of life. She is passionate about sharing this beautiful practice with others as they step into their own power, trust in their own instincts, and life's unfolding.
Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2013 and afterward started working as a Case Manager for severe and persistent mentally ill adults. In 2016, Rachel became extremely ill and was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. This life changing event was the catalyst for turning her career toward health and wellness. She has since dedicated her time to living as healthy as possible; healing her body with proper nutrition, exercise, and meditation. She has since earned a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification. She has become a Certified Personal Trainer, a Certified Nutrition Coach, a Corrective Exercise Specialist, and a Behavioral Change Specialist..
When Rachel isn’t practicing yoga you will find her geeking out about nutrition, spending time with her family and close friends, cozying on the couch to create things with yarn while streaming the latest shows, and hanging out with her two big dopey dogs.
